This agreement was made to entrust the operation of the Goryeong-gun Disabled Welfare Center, scheduled to be completed in December this year, to the Goryeong branch of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled.
Most of the projects currently promoted by the existing Welfare Center for the Disabled, such as daily support for the disabled, educational support, and emergency support, will be integrated with the Goryeong branch to provide various services.
Additionally, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled will manage the Goryeong branch based on the operational know-how of its existing branches in Uiseong, Bonghwa, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok.
Kim Chung-bok, Deputy Governor of Goryeong-gun, stated at the signing ceremony, “The long-cherished wish of the disabled people in Goryeong-gun to establish a Welfare Center for the Disabled has become a reality, and by entrusting its operation to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, we expect the welfare services for the disabled in Goryeong-gun to be significantly enhanced.”
