The Hometown Love Donation Program allows donors to receive a full tax credit of up to 100,000 KRW when donating to local governments other than their current residence. For amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW, a 16.5% tax credit is applied along with gifts worth up to 30% of the donation. Since its first implementation last year, the program has gradually become known to the public.
Yangsan City is promoting the program to increase awareness and help workers effectively enjoy year-end tax settlement benefits by conducting promotional activities at local companies and public institutions. Additionally, the city plans to operate a booth at the Yangsan National Half Marathon to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program to participants.
Lee Sang-jin, Head of the Collection Division, stated, “We are carrying out various promotional activities so that many citizens can receive year-end tax credit benefits and gifts through the Hometown Love Donation Program.” He added, “We hope many citizens will support their hometowns through the program and enjoy the triple benefits of helping their hometown, receiving year-end tax benefits, and getting gifts.”
