Awarded Contract for Document Recognition Research Service
Document AI specialist company Romin announced on the 19th that it has won the 'AI Document Recognition (AI OCR) Research Service Project for Post Office Counter Work Automation' promoted by the Korea Post.
This project aims to quickly read and process documents such as handwritten mail and deposit forms to improve the productivity of counter staff and customer convenience.
The core of this project is Romin's document AI platform, 'Textscope Studio.' It is the only AI OCR solution in Korea capable of recognizing printed text, handwriting, and typewritten text. In particular, it can recognize low-quality documents, unstructured documents, and handwritten documents, which are difficult to recognize with existing OCR technology, at the highest level of performance in Korea. It also enables automatic address correction and information verification, minimizing input errors.
The Korea Post plans to demonstrate a system that automatically extracts and inputs data such as customer information and addresses by applying Textscope Studio.
Kang Ji-hong, CEO of Romin, said, "In addition to this project, we will continue to support digital transformation in the public sector by collaborating with various public institutions such as the National Archives, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and the Korea Environment Corporation."
