On the 18th, the Seosan Office of Education in South Chungcheong Province held a joint proclamation ceremony for the "Special Education Development Zone" with Seosan City at the Seosan Citizens' Gymnasium.
The proclamation ceremony, which also served as the opening ceremony of the 8th Seosan Career Expo, was attended by over 500 elementary, middle, and high school students, Kim Ji-cheol, Superintendent of Education for South Chungcheong Province, Seong Gi-dong, Seosan Office of Education Director, Lee Wan-seop, Mayor of Seosan, and Han Kyung-geun, Vice President of Hanseo University, among others.
During the ceremony, the Seosan Regional Cooperation Group for the Special Education Development Zone?including the South Chungcheong Provincial Office of Education, Seosan Office of Education, Seosan City Hall, Hanseo University, Seosan School Management Committee Council, Seosan Parents' Association, and Seosan Chamber of Commerce and Industry?pledged to successfully implement the Special Education Development Zone project.
They expressed their hopes for "Seosan, where education is special and the future is special," by holding activities such as a paper airplane event with students.
With this proclamation ceremony as the starting point, the Seosan Career Expo, which features 89 diverse career experience booths, an education curriculum expo prepared with leading teachers from local high schools, and a career talk concert, began its two-day schedule, offering more variety and richness than ever before.
This year's career expo, named the Special Education Development Zone Career Expo to mark Seosan City's selection as a pilot area for the Special Education Development Zone, welcomed students at more than twice the scale compared to last year.
Seong Gi-dong, Director of the Seosan Office of Education, stated, "The goals of the Special Education Development Zone?nurturing local talent and achieving balanced regional development?have long been our pursuit," adding, "Through the Special Education Development Zone, we will surely achieve 'Seosan, where education is special and the future is special.' To this end, the Seosan education community will join forces to open the door to the future of education in Seosan."
