The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education ranked 2nd nationwide (Excellent Education Office) at the '18th Digital Education Research Competition.'
The Digital Education Research Competition, hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Education and Research Information Service, was conducted in three divisions: ▲Digital Teaching and Learning ▲Educational Software and AI ▲School Management.
The Provincial Office of Education submitted a total of 79 entries to this national competition, winning 3 first-grade awards (Minister of Education Award), 13 second-grade awards (Korea Education and Research Information Service Award), and 24 third-grade awards (Korea Education and Research Information Service Award), totaling 40 awards.
Kim Tae-seok, Director of Future Education at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "Being selected as an Excellent Education Office is the result of encouraging voluntary research and learning alongside digital-based educational innovation using artificial intelligence and edutech in schools." He added, "We will strive to ensure that digital citizenship education, emphasizing digital safety, ethics, responsibility, and communication, takes root in the field through the dissemination of excellent cases, improving the quality of teaching and learning."
