The Private School Teachers' Pension Service announced on the 19th that it has appointed Han Min-gyu, former professor at Korea National Sport University, as the new standing auditor. The term of the standing auditor is two years, and the appointment is made by the Minister of Education following a public recruitment process and recommendation by the board of directors.
New auditor Han Min-gyu earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and a master's degree in sports science from Kookmin University, and a doctorate in science from Korea National Sport University. He then worked at the Seoul Paralympic Organizing Committee and the Korea Disabled Development Institute, and served as a professor in the Department of Special Physical Education at Korea National Sport University. He has accumulated diverse experience, including serving as auditor of the Korea Paralympic Committee and chairman of the sports division of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's self-evaluation committee.
The Private School Teachers' Pension Service, established in 1974 as a public institution, aims to stabilize the lives and improve the welfare of private school teachers and their families. Currently, it manages assets worth approximately 24 trillion won, with a fund operation yield of 8.83%.
