Victoria Kjær Teilvig (21), the representative of Denmark, won the prestigious crown at 'Miss Universe 2024,' one of the most famous beauty pageants in the world. On the 17th (local time), foreign media including CNN reported that Teilvig was crowned the final winner among over 120 competitors at the '73rd Miss Universe' pageant held on the 16th at the Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. Teilvig also set a record as the first blonde winner in 20 years at this competition.

Second place went to Chidima Adechina from Nigeria. Third place was awarded to Maria Fernanda Beltr?n, the representative of the host country, Mexico. The final event was conducted in a survival format where 30 contestants who passed the preliminary rounds went through various themed stages. The event began with the semi-finalists, who had passed the preliminaries two days earlier, parading in swimsuits in front of the judges. The 12 contestants who passed the swimsuit round then competed in the evening gown contest. Finally, the last five survivors were asked questions on various topics including leadership and resilience.
When asked, "If no one judged you, how would you live differently from now?" Teilvig responded, "Nothing would change. I just live each day," and told viewers, "No matter where you come from, keep fighting. I stand here because I want change and to make history, and I will do so tonight."
