Self-Shooting System Available for Free Use

Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) installed a digital photo booth called the ‘Yongsan Happiness Photo Zone’ on the 2nd floor civil service office of Yongsan-gu Office from the 18th of this month, where visitors can take commemorative photos.

The existing photo zone in the civil service office was limited to marriage registration and had the inconvenience of having to take photos directly with personal phones in an open space. To address these drawbacks, the district installed a dedicated photo booth in a separate space where various photos can be taken and established a self-shooting system. The cost is replaced by photo coupons, which are provided inside the photo box.

The captured images consist of a total of 12 types commemorating marriage, birth, and visits to the district office. In addition to warm images celebrating marriage and childbirth, it includes famous Yongsan-gu landmarks such as Namsan, the National Museum of Korea, and Hangang-daero. Various functions such as sticker decoration can also be used, adding the joy of editing photos directly.

After selecting various frames and taking photos, users can immediately download photos and videos to their smartphones by entering a QR code and email address, and share them on their social networking services (SNS). Photos can be taken a total of four times after selecting an image, and one photo can be chosen among them. There is no separate photo printing. The photo booth is currently installed in the middle of the lobby on the 2nd floor civil service office of Yongsan-gu Office, and the operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

District Mayor Park Hee-young said, “Reflecting the recent trend of wanting to capture precious moments of life on SNS, we newly created a digital photo zone,” and added, “I hope the district office civil service office becomes not just a place for administrative work but a space for communication where joyful memories can be made.”
