A Total of 342 Objections Filed for This Year's CSAT, with Korean 'Language and Media' Question 44 Having the Most Yonhap News

The Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation announced that a total of 342 objections related to questions and answers were received from the 14th, the day of the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), until 6 p.m. on the 18th.

The number of CSAT objections increased by 1.2 times compared to the previous year (288 cases).

By subject area, there were 77 cases in Korean, 7 in Mathematics, 91 in English, 8 in Korean History, 124 in Social Studies, 31 in Science, 2 in Vocational Studies, and 2 in Second Foreign Language/Chinese Characters.

The single question with the most objections was Korean "Language and Media" question number 44, with 42 objections.

Question 44 in "Language and Media" presented a pamphlet (a) produced by the student council and a conversation on the student council members' social network (b), and asked to find the option that was not an appropriate explanation of (a).

The correct answer was option 1, "It shows the procedure for each event through a flowchart," but many test takers argued that the procedure and schedule could be mistaken as the same thing, claiming the question was inappropriate.

Question 24 in English also received 34 objections.

This question provided a passage about "selfie" and asked to find the most appropriate title.

The institute classifies objections by subject and question, then excludes opinions unrelated to the correct answer, cancellations of objections, and duplicate submissions to narrow down the objections for review.

After the review, the final answers will be confirmed and announced by 5 p.m. on the 26th.
