National Police Agency Holds Global Policy Dialogue with UNDP... "Responding to Digital Sex Crimes"

The National Police Agency announced on the 19th that it held a 'Global Policy Dialogue on Responding to Digital Sex Crimes' in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

This conference discussed understanding digital sex crimes, the importance of legal systems, the role of law enforcement agencies, and public-private cooperation.

Shoko Noda, Deputy Executive Director of UNDP, stated, "We are committed to strengthening victim-centered police activities together with the Republic of Korea National Police Agency and global partners," adding, "We expect this conference to create a new turning point for responding to digital sex crimes and expanding necessary support for victims."

Jo Ji-ho, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, said, "By gathering cooperation and wisdom from countries around the world, we will discuss practical and innovative methods necessary not only to establish international partnerships to eradicate digital sex crimes but also to protect victims and thoroughly track perpetrators to ensure they face legal judgment," and added, "Through cooperation with UNDP, we will lay the foundation for the world to respond effectively."
