At the briefing, the city explained the 'Hwaseong Special City SOC Grand Development Plan' linked with the 'Gyeonggi Western SOC Grand Development Plan' being promoted by Gyeonggi Province. The session introduced a spatial concept connecting major projects planned by the city to build balanced urban infrastructure.

The city announced that it proposed a total of 17 projects to Gyeonggi Province, including four road projects such as the Daebudo~Songsan connecting road and the new coastal scenic road, three railway projects including the Southern Gyeonggi East-West Transversal Line, the Shinbundang Line extension to Hyangnam, and the Sinansan Line extension to Songsan Green City, as well as ten other development projects.

Cha Kyung-hwan, Director of the Spatial Strategy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated at the briefing, "Since holding the inaugural ceremony for the Gyeonggi East-West SOC plan last February, we have formed a consultative body and are collecting proposals through relay meetings and discussions with each city and county."

Vice Mayor Son said, "To achieve balanced development in Hwaseong City, we will broadly gather diverse opinions from citizens and devise a rich infrastructure plan that citizens can truly experience."

Gyeonggi Province plans to collect citizen opinions on the proposed projects by city and county until November and announce the final version of the 'Gyeonggi Western SOC Grand Development Plan' next month.
