Moon Dahye (41), daughter of former President Moon Jae-in, is facing charges of drunk driving and illegal lodging business, and the schedule for her transfer has been announced.

Kim Bong-sik, Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, stated at a regular press briefing on the 18th, "The legal review is almost complete," and added, "She is expected to be transferred as soon as possible within this week." It is reported that the police are considering applying the charge of dangerous driving causing injury to Moon.

Regarding the allegations of illegal lodging business against Moon, the police said, "We are coordinating a date for her to appear," and added, "We will proceed according to the procedures." Furthermore, they stated, "So far, we have secured statements from some guests and have requested necessary materials from Airbnb." Currently, her drunk driving accident is being investigated by the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul, while the suspicion of operating an illegal lodging business is being investigated by the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul, which received the complaint.

Earlier, on the 5th of last month, Moon collided with a taxi while changing lanes without using the turn signal in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, driving her Casper vehicle. At the time, Moon's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.149%, which is above the license cancellation level (0.08%), and it was confirmed that there were no passengers in the car. She later appeared at the Yongsan Police Station on the 18th, 13 days after the accident, and was questioned for about four hours before returning home.

Additionally, Moon is accused of operating a shared lodging business (Airbnb) for two years without registering it as a lodging business at her sole-owned detached house located in Hyeonjaeri, Hallim-eup, Jeju City, which she purchased from Father Song Gi-in, who has ties to former President Moon. On the 11th, she appeared before the Jeju Autonomous Police Agency and admitted to all related charges during a two-hour summons investigation with her lawyer present. The autonomous police confirmed that they secured evidence such as Airbnb review records, and on the 15th, Moon was transferred to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Public Health Control Act. Furthermore, Moon is also embroiled in allegations of operating an illegal lodging business at an officetel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The Yeongdeungpo District Office submitted an official letter to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station requesting an investigation into whether the officetel she owns is being illegally operated as an Airbnb.
