"Selected 6 Proposals, Policy Reflection Under Review"

Recently, Damyang-gun in Jeollanam-do held the "3rd Damyang-gun Youth Social Participation Idea Presentation Contest."
According to the county on the 18th, the "Youth Social Participation Idea Presentation Contest," hosted by Damyang-gun and the Damyang Office of Education and organized by the International Youth Education and Culture Foundation, concluded a five-month journey from participant recruitment in July to the finals.
This year, 22 teams participated, and through the first document screening, 10 teams were selected. The teams were evaluated on the feasibility, sustainability, and presentation skills of their proposals during group presentations.
As a result of the judging, the Excellence Award (Damyang-gun Mayor's Award) was given to ▲ Damyangdong Elementary School for "Preventing Traffic Accidents at Crosswalks Around Schools and Establishing a Proper Traffic Culture" and ▲ Changpyeong High School for the proposal "Motivating Learning through the Establishment of Cash Study and App Tech Services."
Next, the Happiness Award (Damyang Office of Education Superintendent's Award) was given to ▲ the operation of reading rooms managed by Damyang-gun and the introduction of IB and Edutech, and ▲ the establishment of a public education institution to enhance employment competitiveness in Jeollanam-do, named "Jeonnam Career Academy." The Development Award (International Youth Education and Culture Foundation Chairman's Award) was given to ▲ proposals for expanding the distribution of smart educational devices and an online tutoring system, and ▲ activating participatory multicultural education to solve racial discrimination issues and improve multicultural sensitivity.
Mayor Lee Byung-no said, "I hope this contest will give young people pride as active agents of policy," adding, "The six selected proposals will be actively reviewed for policy reflection through related organizations."
