Eco-friendly Mixed Grains Sharing Event Held for Employees

Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held the ‘Love Our Rice Campaign’ in the county office lobby to promote the consumption of Jindo rice in celebration of Agricultural Day.

Agricultural Day, now in its 29th year, is a legal commemorative day to inspire pride and self-esteem among farmers and to reflect on the importance of agriculture.

According to the county on the 18th, the commemorative event included distributing three types of cookies made from processed Jindo rice, Jindo turmeric Sikhye, and eco-friendly mixed grains grown in Jindo to the staff.

Civil servants who received Jindo rice cookies and turmeric Sikhye on their way to work expressed, “We thank the farmers of Jindo who are responsible for our dining tables, and we hope Jindo agricultural products continue to receive much love.”

A county official said, “We are grateful to the farmers who dedicated themselves to our agricultural products despite difficult conditions such as heavy rains and pest outbreaks this year,” adding, “We hope this serves as an opportunity to promote the excellence of our rice and agricultural products and to boost the consumption of local agricultural products.”
