Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Achieves Highest Grade in Bachelor's Degree Major Advanced Course Evaluation

Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) recently received a large number of top ratings, including the highest S grade and A grades, in the '2023 Academic Year Bachelor's Degree Major Deepening Program Operation Diagnosis' conducted by the Korea Council for College Education.

Out of a total of 14 departments evaluated, the Department of Footwear Fashion Industry Engineering received an S grade, while the Departments of Business Administration, Social Welfare, Hotel Tourism, Physical Therapy, Beauty, Health Care Administration, Clinical Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Interior Design, Electronic Engineering, Sports Rehabilitation Guidance, and Visual Design each received an A grade.

The Bachelor's Degree Major Deepening Program is an advanced vocational education program at the bachelor's degree level operated by junior colleges. The diagnosis evaluated 256 recruitment units from 72 junior colleges nationwide based on ▲department-level operation organization and support ▲curriculum organization and operation ▲student counseling and guidance ▲industry-academia cooperation and education quality management ▲educational outcomes (enrollment retention rate, employment rate) ▲university-level operation plan versus performance ▲operation organization and support ▲and operation committee performance.

Lee Sung-wook, Dean of Academic Affairs at Gyeongnam Information University, stated, “Our university’s systematic and excellent advanced education program has proven its capabilities through this diagnostic evaluation. We will continue to prepare even more systematic curricula to establish ourselves as a ‘university that teaches well.’”
