Governor Kim said, "I am pleased to be the first to present the special membership fee again this year," expressing his intention to encourage participation from provincial affiliated organizations and local businesses.
Gyeonggi Province has been consistently presenting special membership fees since 2007. The funds collected are used for Red Cross humanitarian activities such as disaster relief efforts within the province, psychological support activities for disaster victims, and donations of goods to vulnerable groups.
Meanwhile, Red Cross membership fees are mailed to household heads and individuals who have participated at least once in the past five years and can be paid through financial institutions, the internet, or mobile phones.
