According to Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) on the 18th, the city signed a business agreement on the afternoon of the 15th with Daeryun ENS Co., Ltd., Doosan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd., Kohyizen Co., Ltd., and the Yeohung Min Clan Jongsa Rang Gongpa Jongjung to promote the ‘Yangju Hydrogen City Development Project,’ drawing a ‘blueprint’ to lead the hydrogen economy era in northern Gyeonggi Province.
The signing ceremony was attended by 14 people, including Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Choi Dae-yeol, Head of Sales Division at Daeryun ENS Co., Ltd., Lee Seung-jun, Executive Director of Doosan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd., Lee Kyung-sil, CEO of Kohyizen Co., Ltd., and Min Mu-sik, Chairman of the Yeohung Min Clan Jongsa Rang Gongpa Jongjung.
Starting with this agreement, each organization plans to establish a cooperative system for △achieving Yangju City’s carbon neutrality goals △creating a ‘hydrogen city’ to expand energy transition △promoting fuel cell power generation, and will work closely together.
As a key point, the city will take charge of the ‘Hydrogen City Development Project,’ and Daeryun ENS Co., Ltd. will be responsible for participating in the fuel cell power generation business and supplying city gas to the surrounding areas.
Next, Doosan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. will use fuel cells (TriGen) capable of simultaneously producing hydrogen, electricity, and heat to generate power and produce hydrogen (800kg/day), while Kohyizen Co., Ltd. will supply the produced hydrogen through pipelines to the Hoejeong hydrogen charging station in Yangju City for sale.
Additionally, the Yeohung Min Clan Jongsa Rang Gongpa Jongjung is known to be leasing the site for infrastructure projects for the ‘Yangju Hydrogen City Development Project’ on a long-term basis and plans to donate part of it to the city.
Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “Through the promotion of the ‘Yangju Hydrogen City Development Project,’ we plan to establish a full hydrogen cycle in an inland city,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to achieve carbon neutrality in Yangju City and establish it as a central hydrogen city in northern Gyeonggi Province.”
