The Korea Economic Association is preparing a platform to discuss survival strategies for Korean companies under the second term of the Trump administration, in collaboration with the global think tank, the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) in the United States.

On the 18th, the Korea Economic Association announced that it will hold a conference titled "The Second Term of Trump in Turbulent Times and Korea's Survival Strategies" on the 26th at the Diamond Room, 3rd floor, FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul, together with PIIE.


Adam Posen, President of PIIE, will deliver the keynote speech on policy changes following the U.S. presidential election. A Q&A session will be moderated by Jeong Cheol, Chief Research Officer of the Korea Economic Association and President of the Korea Economic Research Institute.


In the first session, Jeffrey Schott, Senior Fellow at PIIE, and Lee Taegyu, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Economic Research Institute, will each share their analyses on the economic impact expected from the second term of the Trump administration.


In the second session, Cullen Hendrix and Martin Chorzempa, Senior Fellows at PIIE, along with Yeon Wonho, Director of Global Economic Security at Hyundai Motor Group, will discuss the future changes in U.S.-China relations and the global geopolitical realignment from an economic security perspective.
