The childcare service is a program where childcare providers offer one-on-one care services to families experiencing childcare gaps, such as dual-income households.
Following the first roundtable held in September, the second childcare provider roundtable was organized to enhance the capabilities of childcare providers, improve the quality of care services, and realize the goal of making Pocheon a "child-friendly city." About 50 childcare providers participated in the roundtable to share difficulties encountered in the field and exchange activity information.
Additionally, an educational program themed "Listening" was conducted to strengthen the communication skills of childcare providers, receiving great responses from participants.
A childcare provider who attended the roundtable said, "Following the first roundtable, it was a meaningful time to communicate and strengthen our capabilities," and added, "It was beneficial to learn professional knowledge helpful in the childcare field."
A Pocheon city official stated, "We will continue to prepare programs to enhance the caregiving capabilities of childcare providers and provide services that families can trust," and encouraged, "Families in need of care are always welcome to use the childcare services at the Pocheon Family Center."
Meanwhile, the childcare service provides one-on-one care for children aged from 3 months to under 12 years old. When receiving government support, it can be used at a lower cost than private care services. Applications can be made through the Eup/Myeon/Dong administrative welfare centers or the welfare portal site, Bokjiro.
Also, the Pocheon Family Center is continuously recruiting childcare providers to meet demand. Anyone who has completed childcare provider training or holds teacher qualifications under the Infant Care Act, Early Childhood Education Act, Elementary and Secondary Education Act, or medical qualifications under the Medical Service Act can apply regardless of age.
