Abko Signs AI Server Supply Contract with Leadtek Group... Expanding New Business

ABKO announced on the 18th that it signed an AI server supply contract with the global graphics card design and manufacturing specialist, Leadtek Group, on the 14th.

ABKO will serve as the official Korean distributor of Leadtek Group's AI servers and will receive AI servers from Leadtek Group. Leadtek Group's AI servers are ultra-high-efficiency servers equipped with General-Purpose Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU). They can be supplied as complete units including water-cooling systems, as well as customized forms based on customer requests and environmental analysis.

AI servers are currently in the market formation stage worldwide and are being supplied globally to government agencies, universities, data centers, and general enterprises. ABKO plans to collaborate in research and development (R&D) and manufacturing of related components in the future, leveraging its experience in the PC market and its manufacturing know-how of IoT charging storage cabinets, PadBank.

Founded in 1986, Leadtek Group supplies graphics cards and AI solutions to over 100 countries worldwide. It is strengthening its solution development sector to respond to the increasing demand for AI and machine learning.

An ABKO representative said, "The contract with Leadtek Group is an important stepping stone for entering the new business of AI server supply," adding, "We will strive to provide high-performance AI server solutions in response to the growing global demand for AI technology."

He continued, "We will expand new businesses to maximize corporate value."

The global AI market is expected to grow from $150.2 billion (approximately 200 trillion KRW) last year to $1.3452 trillion (approximately 1,800 trillion KRW) by 2030. Global companies such as NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD are also focusing on AI servers, which form the foundation of the AI market. The domestic server market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 9.9% over the next five years, forming a market worth about 4.8 trillion KRW by 2028.
