Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital announced on the 18th that it has received the highest grade in the "2nd Outpatient Appropriateness Evaluation for Depression" by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The evaluation was conducted on 4,114 hospitals that treated new outpatients aged 18 and older for depression between January and June of last year.
Soonchunhyang University Hospital received a comprehensive score of 86 and was awarded the highest grade, based on criteria such as the rate of return visits within three weeks after the first visit, the implementation rate of initial depression symptom assessments, and the implementation rate of follow-up assessments for depression symptoms.
Hospital Director Lee Moonsu stated, "Depression is one of the serious mental health issues that increases the risk of suicide," and added, "We will continue to protect the mental health of local residents through our highly specialized depression clinic and the Life-Love Crisis Response Center, which has been operating for over 10 years."
