Dobong-gu, Neighborly Love Blossoms in Kimchi-Making Season

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held the "Love Sharing Kimchi-Making Event with Urban Farmers" on November 13 at the Ssangmun-dong Eco-Friendly Sharing Garden.

The event was attended by about 50 people, including Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu, district employees, and volunteers. The ingredients needed for kimchi-making were prepared from crops grown in the sharing garden and donations from local residents and businesses.

The 1,500 kg of kimchi made that day was delivered to about 300 vulnerable households in the area. Additionally, 150 kg of sweet potatoes harvested from the sharing garden and rice harvested from the Musugol Eco-Friendly Rice Field Experience Center were distributed to 33 district-run senior centers.

Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves for today's event. The kimchi made with love will be a great support to the vulnerable groups."
