Bluetooth wireless earphones equipped with a C-type charging cable, convenient touch functionality, a battery lasting up to 3 hours, and a microphone feature are being sold at Daiso for just 5,000 won, sparking controversy among consumers about the authenticity of the product. This is because similar products like Apple AirPods or Samsung Electronics Galaxy Buds series are priced around 200,000 won.
On the 17th, photos of Bluetooth wireless earphones recently displayed on Daiso shelves were posted on online communities. The packaging in the photos shows a price of 5,000 won and descriptions such as ▲convenient touch function ▲battery lasting about 3 hours ▲microphone function ▲includes C-TYPE cable.
Many netizens who saw this expressed skepticism with comments like "Is this product really being sold?" "Which store did you buy it from?" "Is it really 5,000 won?" and "I'm curious about the sound quality," while also showing amazement with remarks such as "It really is Daiso," "How did they manage to sell it for 5,000 won?" and "The cost-effectiveness is really good."
Some consumers who purchased the product also left reviews on their blogs. Netizen A posted on the 16th a post titled "Real Review of Daiso Bluetooth Wireless Earphones!" saying, "I went to Daiso and found something new, so I picked it up," and "Since there were hardly any reviews, I decided to post one." He, who uses an iPhone and AirPods, described the Daiso earphones as "The earphone dust mesh is well made, and the touch button worked quite well," and "Pairing via Bluetooth was quick and easy." He added, "The sound quality isn’t terribly bad, and it seems worth using for short periods," leaving a relatively positive review.
However, the product is currently not available at Daiso stores or online malls. Regarding this, Daiso stated that the wireless earphones are currently discontinued, and the decision on whether to re-release them has not yet been made.
Meanwhile, Daiso has recently gained attention by offering 'cost-effective' products across various categories. These include color cosmetics priced under 5,000 won with quality comparable to luxury cosmetics, and newly released phone chargers that have recently experienced a sell-out craze.
The phone charging adapters and cables released by Daiso in August are priced at 5,000 won. The price of Samsung genuine charging adapters with the same specifications is currently around 12,000 won on open markets. These products are 25W chargers manufactured by Samsung Electronics’ partners RF Tech and SoluM, and since the genuine chargers are also made by these companies, the product has earned the nickname "Daiso Samsung charger." Although the detailed components differ somewhat from Samsung genuine products, consumer satisfaction considering the price is high, making it very popular.
