Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Congratulates Completion of 2024 Mapo-gu Children and Youth Council

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo District Council's main chamber on the afternoon of the 16th for the completion ceremony of the Mapo District Children and Youth Council.

The Mapo District Children and Youth Council is a program designed to help children and youth directly participate and experience the decision-making process.

Through this program, the children and youth council members received education on the roles and functions of local councils, participated in regular meetings, elected the chairperson group, formed standing committees, and had a meaningful time proposing policies needed for Mapo District.

The completion ceremony was held with 70 attendees including children and youth council members, parents, and officials, proceeding with the presentation of certificates by Mayor Park Gang-su, awards for outstanding participants, and commemorative photos.

Mayor Park Gang-su said while presenting the certificates, "You are the future and hope of our community," adding, "By gaining experience in expressing your voice with a sense of ownership, you will be able to make the world we live in a more wonderful and better place."
