According to multiple local Hong Kong media outlets on the 16th, Chow Yun-fat attended the 'Chanel 2024/25 Cruise Collection Replica Show' held at the Hong Kong Design School on the 7th and refuted recent online rumors about his health problems. Chow said, "It is just subcutaneous fat and does not pose a significant threat to my health," adding, "The lump disappeared after massage and treatment. There is no discomfort or pain."

The health rumors spread after a fan took and shared a video of Chow Yun-fat running at Victoria Peak in Hong Kong in May. In the footage, a lump about the size of a ping-pong ball was protruding from his left thigh. Another lump was also visible on the inside of his arm. Netizens expressed concern for his health and suspected it might be a tumor.

He expressed his passion for running, stating, "I run 10 km every day." Chow, who started jogging eight years ago, mentioned in an interview, "Running has improved my stamina, taught me patience, and introduced me to new friends." He is often seen jogging in public. He plans to participate in a short-distance marathon next month and a half marathon the following year.

This is not the first time Chow Yun-fat has been caught up in health rumors.

Last July, he was rumored to have fallen into a coma after contracting COVID-19 and was even subject to death rumors. At that time, local media such as Sina Entertainment reported, "Chow Yun-fat fell into a coma due to a stroke" and "He has not regained consciousness," fueling health concerns. Regarding this, he said, "It happens often" and "I don't pay much attention to it."

Born in 1955, Chow Yun-fat is a top star in the Chinese-speaking world, having appeared in numerous films such as 'A Better Tomorrow' (1987), 'The Killer' (1989), and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' (2000). He later entered Hollywood, appearing in films like 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' (2007). Notably, in 2018, Chow pledged to donate 99% of his wealth after his death, promising to give a total of 5.6 billion Hong Kong dollars (approximately 1.047 trillion KRW) back to society.

Regarding the money he promised to donate, he said, "That money is not mine; I am just temporarily holding it. The hardest thing in life is not making a lot of money, but living with peace and tranquility. My dream is to be happy and to be an ordinary person."
