Through the reorganization, Pocheon City expanded and reorganized some of the plant-related exhibits previously covered in the Geopark Hall to focus on various wild plants native to the Hantangang area. Additionally, detailed botanical illustrations and plant specimens were provided by the Korea National Arboretum for the exhibition.
The new exhibits were created using the pressed flower technique to capture the vivid appearance of the plants. Some plants are also displayed with detailed botanical illustrations depicting flowers, leaves, stems, roots, and fruits, allowing visitors to closely observe the intricate characteristics of the plants.
A Pocheon City official stated, “We have prepared a permanent exhibition where visitors to Hantangang can easily examine the shapes and features of plants around us. We hope many people will visit.”
Meanwhile, the Hantangang World Geopark Center is a public museum themed around the Hantangang River and the geopark. In addition to permanent exhibitions, it operates various exhibition and experience spaces such as a digital experience hall, 4D riding theater, children’s ecological experience hall, and special exhibition rooms. The admission fee is 5,000 KRW for adults, and upon entry, 3,000 KRW is exchanged for Pocheon Love Gift Certificates.
