Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 15th that it has selected Seungan 1 District in Gapyeong-eup and Wigok 3 District in Seorak-myeon for the 2025 cadastral readjustment project and established an implementation plan.

The cadastral readjustment project is a national policy project implemented until 2030 under the "Special Act on Cadastral Readjustment." It aims to convert paper-based cadastral maps created during the Japanese colonial period into digital cadastral maps and correct registration details in the cadastral register that do not match the actual land conditions.

Gapyeong-gun has secured approximately 93 million KRW in national funds for the project next year and plans to carry out the project over two years until 2026. Following the establishment of the implementation plan, the county will go through public inspection and announcement procedures to collect residents' opinions, then hold residents' briefings starting in January next year, and apply to Gyeonggi Province for designation of the project districts with the consent of more than two-thirds of the landowners.
