'Kim Ga Ne' Owner 2nd Generation CEO Kim Jeonghyun, Father Dismissed on Charges of Sexual Assault and Embezzlement

Kim Jung-hyun, the second-generation owner of the snack franchise 'Kim Ga Ne,' has dismissed his father, former CEO Kim Yong-man, who is accused of sexually assaulting an employee, and has issued a direct apology.

On the 15th, Kim Jung-hyun announced on the Kim Ga Ne website, "The reports in the media concern the personal misconduct of former CEO Kim, and our management has determined that he can no longer be part of the company, so he has been dismissed."


He also said, "I bow my head in apology to our customers, franchise owners, and employees who have trusted and supported our brand," adding, "Former CEO Kim's wrongful actions have caused great harm to the victimized employee, and it is deeply regrettable and painful that franchise owners and employees have also been affected."


He continued, "Above all, we will do our utmost to prevent secondary damage to the victim and to avoid causing any trouble to our franchise locations," emphasizing, "Kim Ga Ne will not tolerate any misconduct by its members and will respond firmly."


Former CEO Kim Yong-man of Kim Ga Ne is currently under investigation by the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul on charges of forcibly molesting an intoxicated employee, attempting sexual assault, and embezzling company funds.
