Goyang City Conducts Guidance and Inspection of Goyang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center in 2024

Ensuring Proper Operation and Transparent Accounting Execution of Regional Self-Sufficiency Centers

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 15th that it will conduct the "2024 Goyang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Guidance and Inspection" to ensure the appropriateness of the operation of the regional self-sufficiency center and the transparency of accounting execution.

The inspection is scheduled to take place over two days on the 18th and 19th, during which the city plans to review the personnel and financial accounting management of the Goyang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center as well as the overall operation of the self-sufficiency labor projects.

The main inspection items include ▲ management of personnel expenses and operating costs of the self-sufficiency center ▲ placement and management of self-sufficiency project participants ▲ expenditure status of self-sufficiency labor project funds ▲ management of sales and profits of the self-sufficiency labor project team.

Additionally, the city will take measures to address issues identified through the guidance and inspection, and hold discussions on setting policy directions and improvement plans for the operation of the regional self-sufficiency center in 2025.

A Goyang city official expressed, "We appreciate the Goyang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, which is striving to revitalize self-sufficiency and independence for low-income groups and self-sufficiency labor projects despite the saturation of users due to the increase in conditional beneficiaries," adding, "We will continue to provide guidance and support so that the regional self-sufficiency center can operate transparently and responsibly in all aspects of self-sufficiency project management."
