This contest was held under the theme of “Happy Changwon Citizens of All Ages” to address the population crisis in Changwon together with its citizens and to promote a positive perception of marriage and childbirth. Changwon encouraged participation from citizens of various age groups and foreigners to raise awareness of population issues and collaboratively seek solutions.

A total of 38 citizens entered the contest, and judging was based on criteria such as theme delivery, creativity, and applicability. As a result, 10 winning entries were selected: 1 grand prize, 2 excellence awards, 3 merit awards, and 4 encouragement awards.

The grand prize went to “Changwon Special City, Creating a Second Youth,” which highlighted Changwon’s senior job creation project. The excellence awards were given to “Change to Wonderful Life,” expressing the wonderful life of living in Changwon, and “To Those Welcoming Old Age,” a message from seniors who chose Changwon as their residence to juniors preparing for old age. Notably, the encouragement award included “Foreigners Are Also Changwon Special Citizens,” submitted by a foreign participant, drawing attention.

The winning works will be posted on the Changwon City population policy website and will be utilized in various ways for future population policy promotion and educational materials.

Osumi, the population policy officer, said, “Through this contest, I hope citizens feel affection for Changwon and have an opportunity to reconsider the precious value of family,” adding, “We will continue to encourage active citizen participation to solve population issues.”
