Composed of a total of 20 members, including 17 private experts
On the 14th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 15th that it held the appointment ceremony for the '2025 East Asia Cultural City Promotion Committee' members at the Anseong Matchum Art Hall's main conference room.
The committee was organized as the city was selected as the '2025 East Asia Cultural City' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, playing a crucial role in successfully carrying out the project. The committee consists of a total of 20 members, including three ex officio members such as Chairman Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, and heads of related departments, as well as 17 appointed members who are private experts in the fields of culture and arts.

Mayor Kim said, "The year 2025 will be an important milestone for Anseong to advance as a world-class cultural city based on its rich cultural and artistic assets," adding, "We will strive to make Anseong Matchum a cultural city that leads creative and sustainable cultural development not only in Korea but also across East Asia and the world through this project."
Following the appointment ceremony, the promotion committee selected the slogan for 'East Asia Cultural City Anseong.' The chosen slogan will be revealed at the slogan proclamation ceremony on the 20th of next month after undergoing public verification.
Previously, Anseong was selected as the '2025 East Asia Cultural City' along with Macau Special Administrative Region of China, Huzhou City, and Kamakura City of Japan. The city plans to promote various cultural and artistic exchange projects among the three countries' cities throughout next year.
