Handonghun "Democratic Party Beyond Shamelessness... Treating Judiciary Like a Vending Machine"

Today's First Trial Verdict on Lee Jae-myung's Public Official Election Act Case

Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, criticized a pro-opposition group holding a 'Citizens Rally Urging Not Guilty Verdict for Lee Jae-myung' in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-dong on the 15th.

On the same day, Han stated on his social media (SNS), "They openly call it a 'Citizens Rally Urging Not Guilty Verdict for Lee Jae-myung'." He added, "The target of the urging is the judges, and the demand is for a not guilty verdict," and said, "It seems the Democratic Party of Korea regards the judiciary of the Republic of Korea like a vending machine."

Han emphasized, "People say that shamelessness can become a style if persistent, and hesitation makes one prey," but added, "This goes beyond the level of shamelessness. It is destroying the country."

The rally is hosted by the Democratic Citizens' National Resistance Promotion Coalition. As it is the first sentencing for Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, pro-Lee forces including Democratic Party lawmakers are expected to gather in Seocho-dong. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party announced on the same day, "Regarding the sentencing trial for Representative Lee Jae-myung this afternoon, the representative expressed the intention that it would be better if lawmakers do not attend the site."
