This year as well, alumni of the College of Medicine at Yeungnam University (President Choi Oechul) have donated 100 million KRW in development funds to their alma mater, the university announced on the 15th. The 16th Class Alumni Association of Yeungnam University College of Medicine (President Kim Gidung) united their intentions to support the development of their alma mater and juniors in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their admission.
The tradition of donating development funds by Yeungnam University College of Medicine alumni has been established and continues annually. Every year, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of each class’s admission, development funds are donated for the benefit of the alma mater and juniors. From the 1st class to the 16th class, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, there has not been a single year missed.

The donation ceremony held on the afternoon of the 14th at Yeungnam University was attended by Kim Gidung, president of the 16th Class Alumni Association of the College of Medicine; Son Jaeho, chairman of the preparation committee; Sagong Jeonggyu, president of the College of Medicine Alumni Association; Song Sinho, general affairs director; as well as Yeungnam University President Choi Oechul, Special Vice President Lee Kyungsoo, and Dean of the College of Medicine Kim Seongho.
Kim Gidung, president of the 16th Class Alumni Association of the College of Medicine, said, “It is deeply moving to practice meaningful sharing for our alma mater together with classmates who entered Yeungnam University College of Medicine 30 years ago and nurtured our dreams of becoming doctors. Alumni have united their intentions little by little with the heart of supporting the development of our alma mater and juniors. We will always cheer on our juniors with the hope that they grow into excellent medical professionals.”
Yeungnam University President Choi Oechul said, “I sincerely congratulate the 16th Class Alumni Association of the College of Medicine on their 30th anniversary of admission. I am truly grateful for your great generosity every year without forgetting your alma mater.” He added, “As proud alumni of the College of Medicine shine in various parts of society, the university will also do its best so that juniors can nurture big dreams, grow into warm-hearted medical professionals, and play a role as talents who contribute to human society.”
