A Man in His 20s Caught Red-Handed Breaking into Dongduk Women's University at Midnight

A man in his 20s who trespassed into Dongduk Women's University and got into an argument with a security guard was arrested by the police.

On the 15th, the Jongam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on the spot the previous day on charges of trespassing.

Mr. A unlawfully entered Dongduk Women's University at around 9:30 PM on the 14th and had a scuffle with a security guard.

It was reported that Mr. A stated he trespassed into the school to clean the bust of Mr. Jo Dongsik, the founder of Dongduk Women's University.

Earlier, since the 12th, there has been an ongoing sit-in protest on campus opposing the transition to a coeducational system at Dongduk Women's University.

A police official said, "We are currently investigating the specific circumstances of the incident with Mr. A."
