Daejeon Waterworks Headquarters Achieves Top Rating in Disaster Management Assessment for Four Consecutive Years View of Sintanjin Water Purification Plant / Daejeon Metropolitan Waterworks Headquarters

The Daejeon Waterworks Headquarters announced that it has received the highest grade, Grade A, for four consecutive years since 2021 in the "2024 National Core Infrastructure Disaster Management Assessment" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.


The National Core Infrastructure Disaster Management Assessment is conducted annually to evaluate disaster response and management capabilities for facilities that have a significant impact on the government's core functions, such as energy, information and communications, transportation, healthcare, and drinking water.


The Daejeon Waterworks Headquarters received high marks for its proactive adaptation measures against climate change, operation of water vapor aeration facilities for source water protection, management of artificial plant islands, and its disaster preparedness and efficient recovery capabilities regarding chlorine gas leaks and water quality pollution.


Kim Youngbin, head of the Daejeon Waterworks Headquarters, stated, "We will continue to do our best to supply safe and reliable tap water to citizens through efficient improvements of waterworks facilities."
