Korean, Up About 10 Points from Last Year
Math, Probability and Statistics Increase
Calculus and Geometry Similar to Last Year
The predicted cutoff scores for the top grade in the 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) held on the 14th have been released. According to EBSi and the admissions industry, compared to last year’s CSAT, the cutoff score for the top grade in the Korean language section is expected to rise by up to 10 points based on raw scores. For the mathematics section, the cutoff score for Probability and Statistics is expected to increase, while Calculus and Geometry are anticipated to maintain last year’s levels.
As of 9 PM on the same day, according to EBSi and the admissions industry, the cutoff scores for the top grade in the Korean language section for 'Language and Media' are as follows: EBSi predicts 90 points, Jongro Academy 92 points, Etoos 91?92 points, Megastudy 91?92 points, and Jinhaksa 92 points.
For 'Speech and Writing,' EBSi forecasts 92 points, Jongro Academy 94 points, Etoos 93?94 points, Megastudy 93?94 points, and Jinhaksa 94?100 points.
Last year’s CSAT cutoff scores for the Korean language section were 84 points for Language and Media and 86 points for Speech and Writing. The rise of the top grade cutoff scores to the 90-point range indicates that this year’s exam was easier than last year’s.
For the mathematics section, among students who chose 'Probability and Statistics,' EBSi estimates a cutoff score of 92 points, Jongro Academy 94 points, Etoos 95 points, Megastudy 91?92 points, and Jinhaksa 91?100 points.
For 'Calculus,' EBSi predicts 85 points, Jongro Academy 87 points, Etoos 88 points, Megastudy 84?85 points, and Jinhaksa 84?100 points.
For 'Geometry,' EBSi estimates 88 points, Jongro Academy 94 points, Etoos 89 points, Megastudy 90?91 points, and Jinhaksa 87?100 points.
Last year’s CSAT cutoff scores for the mathematics section were 90 points for Probability and Statistics, 88 points for Calculus, and 88 points for Geometry. The cutoff score for Probability and Statistics is expected to rise by about 1 to 5 points compared to last year. In contrast, Calculus and Geometry are expected to maintain last year’s cutoff levels or see a slight increase.
