Opportunity to Enjoy Gijang Market Commercial Area Along with Local History and Culture
Busan Gijang-gun will hold the flea market ‘Pado Market in Gijang’ at Janggwanchung in Gijang from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 16th.
‘Pado Market in Gijang’ is part of the ‘Neighborhood Commercial Area Development Support Project’ organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, aimed at revitalizing the commercial area around Gijang Market.
Adjacent to Gijang Market, the event venue Janggwanchung, along with Gijang Eupseong and Gijang Modern History Museum, hosts various historical and cultural resources.
The county plans to provide an opportunity for local residents and tourists to enjoy the Gijang Market commercial area in connection with the region’s history and culture through this event.
About 20 diverse sellers from the F&B (food and beverage), lifestyle, and crafts sectors within and outside the Gijang area are expected to participate in the event. In addition, various experience programs such as vegan soap making, stained glass experience, and pottery coloring experience will be available for children visiting with their parents.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “I hope many people visit ‘Pado Market in Gijang’ with their families to enjoy not only various experiential events but also the long-standing history and culture of Gijang, making it a meaningful time. Also, shopping at Gijang Market would be the icing on the cake.”
