SCL Science resolved the issue of being designated as a management item by recording cumulative sales of 3.1 billion KRW up to the third quarter of this year.
On the 14th, SCL Science announced that its separate sales for the third quarter reached 1 billion KRW, a 249% increase compared to the same period last year. Accordingly, cumulative sales up to the third quarter reached 3.1 billion KRW.
SCL Science surpassed 3 billion KRW in sales in just the third quarter this year, escaping the risk of being designated as a management item. As a technology-special listing company, there was a concern that if separate sales fell short of 3 billion KRW by the end of this year, which is the end of the grace period, it would be designated as a management item.
The significant growth in scale up to the third quarter this year was driven by the bio-logistics business. The bio-logistics business provides a service that safely and promptly delivers specimens and pharmaceuticals sensitive to temperature and time through a cold chain system. By establishing an intelligent cold chain monitoring system and cooperating with group affiliates, rapid expansion of achievements is occurring in the bio-logistics sector.
A company representative said, "With the performance up to the third quarter alone, we have completely resolved the issue of being designated as a management item," adding, "Following the securing of a stable sales base, we will strive to strengthen new growth engines such as digital healthcare utilizing medical data, bio-platforms, and artificial intelligence medical solution businesses."
Meanwhile, SCL Science is set to actively commercialize businesses utilizing medical data in cooperation with KAIST. To this end, on the 12th, they held an opening ceremony for the Translational Medicine Research Institute with KAIST and signed a strategic business agreement (MOU). SCL Science plans to combine the examination and specimen data resources held by the SCL Group with KAIST’s advanced data analysis capabilities to establish various collaborative systems.
