This naming contest was prepared to strengthen communication with citizens and increase awareness of the online promotional center by receiving creative and easy-to-remember names that citizens can suggest to promote Gwangju's excellent products.

The contest period is until the 22nd, and any Gwangju citizen can submit an application form according to the designated format by referring to the announcement on the Gwangju City Hall website.

The final winner will receive 100,000 KRW in Gwangju local currency, and up to 50 participants will be selected by lottery to receive convenience store gift certificates worth 5,000 KRW.

A Gwangju City official said, "We hope that a symbolic name that can widely promote Gwangju's excellent products will emerge through this naming contest," and added, "We hope the online promotional center will embody Gwangju's unique charm through the interest and participation of many citizens."

Meanwhile, the Gwangju City excellent products online promotional center, tentatively named ‘Haengbok Gwangju Mall,’ opened last August and currently hosts about 50 local companies. Applications for entry are accepted from the 1st to the 25th of each month on the Haengbok Gwangju Mall website.
