This project was designed to help low-income middle-aged single-person households, who are at high risk of solitary death due to social isolation and loneliness, by providing daily necessities so they can spend the winter healthily and safely.
At the event, members of the Community Security Council from eight districts participated. In particular, packages consisting of convenience foods such as ramen, instant meals, protein drinks, and daily necessities like lotion, toothbrushes, and heat packs were prepared and delivered to a total of 150 households.
Mayor Park Hyeong-deok said, "I hope the packages delivered today bring warmth and comfort to middle-aged single-person households going through difficult times," and added, "We ask for continuous interest and cooperation from the community so that everyone can spend the upcoming winter in good health."
