15 Reports Related to CSAT Emergency Calls in Gyeongnam

On the morning of the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) day, the 14th, emergency transportation operations for examinees were carried out across various locations in Gyeongnam as the entire nation showed consideration for the test takers.


At around 6:46 a.m., a vehicle carrying examinees from Masan to the CSAT test site at Goseong Jungang High School suddenly broke down, and a 112 emergency call was received.


The Masan Jungbu Police Station, upon receiving the report, quickly dispatched a patrol car to transport the examinees and rushed to Goseong Jungang High School.

At around 7:36 a.m., an examinee whose vehicle broke down while heading to Gimhae Gaya High School was able to safely arrive at the test site by riding in a patrol car from the Gimhae Seobu Police Station.


At around 7:38 a.m., an examinee who was supposed to go to Haman High School mistakenly arrived at Chilwon High School due to a taxi driver's error and received assistance from the Haman Police Station patrol car for transportation.

According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, as of 8:10 a.m. that day, 15 CSAT-related 112 emergency calls were received within the province.


Among them, 8 were transportation requests, 2 were cases of missing admission tickets, and 5 were related to traffic inconveniences and other issues.


The provincial police deployed 721 officers, including 11 mobile units, along with 159 patrol cars and 23 police motorcycles (cycadas) to ensure safety operations.


Around the test sites, 713 traffic police officers, 159 patrol cars, and 23 cycadas were stationed from 6 a.m. to prevent vehicle congestion, manage traffic, and block noise and other disturbances.


Two armed police officers were assigned at each test site entrance during the admission time, and coordinated patrols were conducted by nearby district police stations and police boxes until the exam ended.


From the end of the CSAT until the 17th, 256 mobile patrol officers will be deployed in major youth activity areas to focus on guidance and protection activities for youth after the exam.


For the 2025 CSAT, 30,075 examinees are taking the test in 1,198 exam rooms across 101 schools in the province.
