Multicultural and Low-Income Families, Around 10 Couples for Silver and Golden Wedding Anniversaries
Free Support from Wedding Attire to Traditional Table Setting, Applications Accepted Until the 29th
On December 7th, a joint traditional wedding ceremony will be held in Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk, known as the hometown of scholars, to promote the value of traditional culture.
The Yeongju Culture and Tourism Foundation organized this traditional wedding ceremony to inherit Korea's unique traditional wedding culture and to commemorate the precious moments of families more meaningfully.
This event targets about 10 couples and provides traditional wedding attire and table settings free of charge.
The applicants eligible are multicultural and low-income families (recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security and lower-income classes), families celebrating their silver wedding anniversary of 25 years or more, and those wishing to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary of 50 years or more. If there are many applicants, priority will be given to Yeongju citizens, followed by residents of Gyeongbuk Province and other regions.
Families wishing to participate can apply to the Marketing Team of the Project Department at the Yeongju Culture and Tourism Foundation by the 29th. Applications can be made by phone on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A representative of the Yeongju Culture and Tourism Foundation said, “We hope this joint traditional wedding will be a special gift that participating families will never forget,” and added, “We ask for your interest and participation in this meaningful event that shares our beautiful traditional culture.”
