The kickoff meeting for the "Master Plan Establishment Service for the Second Leap of Geochang Changpoweon" is being held.
This project is being promoted to present the mid- to long-term vision of Geochang Changpoweon, including the expansion of the Second Changpoweon, designation as a national garden, and hosting a garden expo, and to set a development direction as a premium garden that will last for 100 years.
At the briefing, Kyungho Engineering and Geo Landscaping, the firms in charge of the project, presented an analysis of the current status of Geochang Changpoweon, case studies, vision setting, management and operation plans, and measures to increase profitability. This was followed by a Q&A session with attendees, discussions on suggestions, and a general review, during which various opinions for the future of Geochang Changpoweon were presented.
Governor Goo In-mo stated, "To achieve designation as a national garden, synergy must be maximized by linking the Second Changpoweon (Namsang Daehyeon District, Namha Sanpo District), organic farming complex, eco-tourism cultural complex project, and the Second Sports Town," adding, "I hope that the opinions presented at the briefing will be comprehensively reviewed so that this master plan can be completed as a big picture looking ahead 100 years."
Starting with this kickoff briefing, a concrete execution plan for the second leap of Geochang Changpoweon is expected to be prepared, and efforts to create a sustainable national garden in cooperation with the local community are anticipated to be in full swing.
