Judicial Researcher Selection Exam: Eun Jeongin, Lee Seungyeop, Lee Jihye Passed

Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 13th that four students from its Law School passed the prosecutor appointment exam this year, and three candidates were successful in the Judicial Researcher (Law Clerk) selection exam.

Four 14th class students of Dong-A Law School, Oh Eon-taek, Jeong Ji-su, Jo Hyun-guk, and Choi Jae-i, passed the new prosecutor appointment exam, while Eun Jeong-in (Seoul High Court), Lee Seung-yeop, and Lee Ji-hye (both from Busan High Court) passed the Judicial Researcher exam.

Unlike the past system where appointment as a prosecutor or judge was determined based on Judicial Examination success and Judicial Research and Training Institute grades, under the Law School system, students must undergo a separate preparation process for three years to be eligible for the prosecutor appointment exam and Judicial Researcher selection exam.

Dong-A Law School operates a “Prosecutor Preparation Class” and a “Judicial Researcher Preparation Class,” directly guided by practical professors who are former prosecutors and judicial researchers, to support its students.

As a result of guiding students through specialized programs led by faculty advisors, the number of successful candidates in the prosecutor and Judicial Researcher selection exams has steadily increased over recent years. Last year, four students passed the prosecutor exam and one passed the Law Clerk exam. Considering the conditions of a regional university and the admission quota (80 students), the recent achievements, including this year’s, are comparable to those of other universities.

President Lee Hae-woo encouraged the successful candidates and faculty advisors, stating, “The university promises to maintain strong interest and provide active support to sustain achievements like those of this year.”
