The Uijeongbu Lifelong Learning Center Foundation (Director Yoo Sang-jin) announced on the 13th that it participated in a relay campaign to prevent child abuse in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Day (November 19) and Universal Children's Day (November 20).

This campaign was organized by the Child Rights Protection Agency and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, aiming to prevent child abuse and promote a culture of positive parenting.
Director Yoo Sang-jin of the Lifelong Learning Center participated upon being nominated by Kyung-gyu Kwan, CEO of the Uijeongbu Youth Foundation, and in turn nominated Jeom-dong Kim, CEO of the Nanum Employment Welfare Foundation, as the next participant.
Director Yoo stated, “Creating an environment where all children can grow up safely and happily requires the attention and effort of all of us,” adding, “Through this campaign, we aim to raise awareness about child abuse and contribute to spreading a culture of positive parenting.”
Meanwhile, the Uijeongbu Lifelong Learning Center continues to make ongoing efforts to establish a proper educational environment for children not only for Uijeongbu citizens but also for children in the district, through programs such as ▲kindergarten after-school programs ▲elementary school care projects (after-school shared schools) ▲special class child education projects (Mom’s Embrace Play School) ▲literacy education for academically underperforming youth.
