Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 13th that it will accept applications for purchase claims on urban planning facility sites that have not been implemented for a long time throughout the year.
The purchase claim system is a system implemented to protect the property rights of landowners within urban planning facility sites that have not been executed for more than 10 years from the date of announcement of the urban management plan decision. Purchase claims can be made for land with the category of dae (垈) included in the facility site, as well as buildings and fixtures on the land.
Whether the land is included in the urban planning facility can be checked through the Land Use Plan Inquiry on the Land Connect website. For land on which a purchase claim has been filed, a decision on whether to purchase will be made and notified to the applicant within six months. For land where purchase is decided, an appraisal will be conducted and the land will be purchased within two years from the date the purchase decision is notified.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, “We will strive to resolve residents’ inconveniences caused by long-term unexecuted urban planning facilities and minimize infringement on private property rights,” and added, “Since compensation is possible upon the landowner’s claim, we ask for active participation.”
