Mr. A reportedly eventually took care of the cat carcass himself and buried it in the ground. He said, "I reported it to the police, but the man explained, 'It's true I hit the cat with my car, but I had no particular intention of leaving it in front of someone else's house,' and the case was closed as is." He added, "This incident scared and upset me so much that I have moved." Netizens who read the story reacted with comments such as, "No matter what, pushing it away with a foot like that is too much," and "What kind of mindset is it to push it toward the front door of someone else's house?" One netizen commented, "It might be possible to accidentally kill it while reversing, but treating it like an object by kicking it like that is really unacceptable."

Meanwhile, in a vacant lot in Incheon, a headless kitten carcass was found, prompting the police to launch an investigation. The Gyeyang Police Station announced that at around 4:40 p.m. on the 12th, they received a 112 report stating, "A kitten is dead in a vacant lot in Bakchon-dong, Gyeyang-gu." The reporter told the police, "It wasn't there yesterday, but today when I passed by the vacant lot, I saw a cat carcass with its head cut off abandoned." The place where the cat carcass was found is known to be a space where some residents usually take care of cats.
The police are conducting an investigation based on CCTV around the scene and witness statements. A police official said, "We plan to determine whether someone intentionally killed the kitten or if the carcass was damaged by another animal." In July, four cats were found dead at once in an apartment complex in Namdong-gu, Incheon. Among the four, one was found with its carcass damaged.
