58 Test Centers in 58 Busan Schools on the 14th, 27,356 Examinees Taking the College Scholastic Ability Test
Mayor Park Hyung-jun: "We Will Do Our Best Until the End to Ensure the Smooth Administration of the College Scholastic Ability Test"
Busan City will implement a comprehensive plan on the 14th to support the smooth administration of the '2025 College Scholastic Ability Test' held simultaneously at 58 test centers in the Busan area.
This year, 27,356 examinees from the Busan area will take the '2025 College Scholastic Ability Test,' which will begin at 8:40 a.m. on the day of the exam.
The main contents of the comprehensive plan include ▲traffic flow ▲transportation support ▲noise prevention ▲medical support ▲public relations support, and the city will organize and operate a comprehensive situation room to manage and support the implementation of measures in each field.
▲‘Traffic Flow’
On the morning of the exam day, to ensure smooth traffic flow, the city will adjust the start time to 10 a.m. for public officials, public institutions, financial institutions, research institutes, and companies with 50 or more employees.
Also, from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the exam day, the city will operate the ‘CSAT Support Traffic Comprehensive Situation Room’ to comprehensively manage and support examinee transportation and traffic flow. In particular, 10 staff members from the city’s Traffic Innovation Division will be assigned to 28 test centers where traffic congestion is expected due to clustered test centers or narrow access roads to manage traffic conditions.
In addition, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the exam day, enforcement of bus-only lanes will be temporarily suspended (except for BRT sections where enforcement will continue), the weekday car-use restriction will be lifted, and traffic police will be concentrated at expected congestion areas such as the intersections in front of Sajik Baseball Stadium, Yangjeong Intersection, Goejeong Intersection, and main roads near test centers to implement traffic measures.
▲Transportation Support
To support examinee transportation, city and village buses will be dispatched intensively between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. on the exam day. For 83 bus routes in areas where traffic congestion is expected due to clustered test centers, the dispatch intervals will be shortened during this time, and five temporary subway trains will be on standby.
Also, 36 ‘Joint Field Guidance Teams’ consisting of 261 members will be organized by district and county to manage traffic in congested areas and to guide against illegal parking around test centers.
Members of the Busan branch of the Model Drivers Association, totaling 443, will volunteer on-site by providing traffic guidance and supporting free transportation for latecomers and students with mobility difficulties using 66 emergency transport vehicles at 40 key locations such as subway stations and intersections.
▲Noise Prevention
Noise control inspection teams will be formed in 14 districts and counties where test centers are located to inspect construction sites and daily noise around the test centers. During the exam, measures such as refraining from emergency and fire vehicle sirens and guiding noisy vehicles like freight trucks to detour will be implemented to prevent disruption during listening tests.
▲Emergency Support
In case of emergency patients among examinees, medical support teams centered on health centers in 16 districts and counties will operate to provide prompt first aid and transport to medical institutions. The Fire and Disaster Headquarters will also conduct rapid ambulance activities using ambulances from each fire station in preparation for emergencies at test centers.
▲Public Relations Support
Lastly, a public relations support team will be operated to provide examinees with important notices and various information helpful for the CSAT.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, “I hope our examinees will fully demonstrate what they have studied and achieve good results. I also want to express my gratitude to the parents and teachers who have worked hard to support the examinees.” He added, “The city will do its best until the end to ensure the smooth administration of the College Scholastic Ability Test so that these efforts can shine.”
