The representative autumn festival of Taean, where you can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere of Taean in Chungnam, the '2024 Flower and Sea Taean Chrysanthemum Festival', successfully concluded on the 10th, recording a total of about 55,000 visitors.

The Taean Chrysanthemum Festival opened on October 25 under the subtitle 'Chrysanthemums Reflected on the Autumn Lake' at the birthplace of Lee Jongil in Wonbuk-myeon and its surrounding area.

Originally scheduled to run until November 3, the festival was extended to the 10th to showcase the beauty of chrysanthemums to more visitors in line with the blooming period.

This year, the festival expanded its event space from the original Lee Jongil birthplace to Jeongporu Riverside Park, offering even more attractions.

In particular, large installations such as the 8-meter-high 'Taeaneupseong Dong-anmun', 'Gyeongnyeolbiyeoldo', 'Anheungjinseong', and 'Halmi-Halabi Rock' as well as Cheongsachorong lanterns captivated visitors' attention.

In addition, for eight days during the festival, the 'Township Day' event was held, featuring resident self-governance program performances and singing contests by residents from eight different towns, which was highly praised as a venue for community unity.

After the festival ended, a small after-party was held from the 11th to the 13th, where chrysanthemums that had been on display were given as gifts to those who applied in advance, receiving a great response.

Cho Haesang, chairman of the Taean Chrysanthemum Festival Committee, said, "Thanks to the mild weather during the festival, many people visited and were able to soothe their tired bodies and minds. I would like to thank the volunteers, Taean County, and all related organizations for their dedication. We promise to return next year with an even richer festival."
