LG Energy Solution Hosts '2024 Partners Day' Inviting Over 80 Partner Companies

Strengthening Cooperation and Resolving to Prepare for the Future

LG Energy Solution announced that it hosted the '2024 Partners Day' on the 12th, inviting over 80 partner companies to strengthen collaboration and prepare for the future.

The event, held at Gonjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, was themed "EMPOWER EVERY POSSIBILITY" and attended by representatives and executives from more than 80 partner companies related to battery cells, packs, and equipment. LG Energy Solution was represented by key executives including CEO Dongmyung Kim, CQO (Chief Quality Officer) Suryoung Kim, and CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) Changbeom Kang.

This year's 'Partners Day' was conducted offline to facilitate active communication with partner companies.

In his welcoming remarks, LG Energy Solution CEO Dongmyung Kim expressed gratitude to the partners, saying, "Thanks to the dedication and efforts of our partner companies, we were able to secure consecutive orders despite the challenging business environment this year, proving irreplaceable customer value." He conveyed his appreciation for the valuable achievements made together with the partners.

He added, "To turn the boundless business opportunities into reality, we need superior technology, quality, and price competitiveness that exceed global standards. LG Energy Solution will provide unwavering support for this. Let us continue to be a strong pillar for each other and move forward toward a brilliant future."

The event agenda included ▲ LG Energy Solution's business strategy direction ▲ quality operation strategy ▲ research and development roadmap ▲ purchasing operation strategy ▲ and awards for outstanding partner companies.

First, CSO Changbeom Kang presented this year's achievements, business strategy, and vision. Kang stated that despite the challenging business environment, including the chasm situation of slowing growth in the secondary battery industry and intensifying competition in the battery market, the company will expand new orders and prepare for the future through new visions and strategies.

He also emphasized that to overcome current difficulties, the company will focus on ▲ strengthening products and technology ▲ securing structural cost competitiveness ▲ enhancing future technologies such as next-generation batteries and expanding new businesses to secure an advantage over competitors and establish itself as a global leader.

CQO Suryoung Kim introduced the quality operation strategy and key improvement measures. He said LG Energy Solution is committed to realizing 'Global One Quality,' which maintains consistent and excellent quality at a global level, aiming for all production facilities and partners worldwide to apply the same quality standards to achieve the highest level of quality.

Additionally, the company shared the electric vehicle battery research and development roadmap, introduced next-generation core products, and discussed purchasing operation strategies in response to global environmental changes, requesting active cooperation and support from partner companies.

The 'Supplier Award' ceremony was also held to recognize partner companies that achieved outstanding performance and contributed to mutual growth throughout the year. Awards were given in three categories: Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Best Award, presented to 20 partner companies. LG Energy Solution plans to use this event as an opportunity to further strengthen trust with partners, enhance mutual competitiveness, respond swiftly to the rapidly changing business environment, and continue sustainable growth.
